Waltham 16S 23J lever set (LS) adj. 6p Vanguard pocket watch #31321081, impressive nickel bridge movement with bold red ruby jewels and a brushed finish, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with bold boxcar style Arabic numbers, an imitation double sunk line and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register is marked "Waltham Vanguard 23 Jewels", dial has a few small expert repairs around the edge of the dial with short hairlines off each, bold blue steel spade & whip style hands, attractive yellow gold filled (YGF) smooth polish Waltham screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with a band of textured engraving on each bezel, short heavy pendant and a heavy bow, case is showing normal even wear overall with thin lines of brass showing on the bezels, pendant and frame, additionally the crown does look to be a replacement, measures approx. 51mm diameter x 62mm in length x 14mm thick (crystal included). A very high quality railroad grade triple signed Waltham from the 1940s in very good overall condition, a perfect timekeeper to carry daily!
