Elgin 16S 23J lever set (LS) adj. 5p Veritas grade 453 Up & Down indicator pocket watch #23634945, impressive nickel split plate movement with a spring regulator, screw-down gold jewel settings (GJS), gold center wheel, jeweled barrel and an elaborate cross-hatch and radiating line damascene pattern, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel Montgomery style dial with fancy Arabic-style numbers, red & black Arabic minute markers and black-marked subsidiary power register at 12 o'clock and seconds register at 6 o'clock, dial has a small scratch above the center post but is otherwise mint, bold blue steel spade & whip style hands, handsome Elgin model #3055 yellow gold filled (YGF) smooth polish screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with sloping bezels, heavy shoulders with a stepped design and a fancy bow, case is showing light even wear overall with a few very small spots of brass starting to show on the shoulders, near the crown (from winding) and on the back bezel, measures approx. 50mm diameter x 61mm in length x 14mm thick (crystal included). This high grade vintage triple signed railroad grade Elgin from the 1920s has one of Elgin's most attractive movement finishes and should be seen to be fully appreciated, in excellent+ overall condition!
