Waltham 18S 17J lever set (LS) adj. 5p Canadian Pacific Railway pocket watch #16151713, impressive nickel full plate movement with screw-down jewel settings, an Ohlson-style regulator and a fancy concentric circle damascene pattern, movement is also stamped with a matte finish shield topped with an engraved beaver and marked "Canadian Pacific Railway", double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic-style numbers, red 5 minute markers and a black marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines and a small chip at the edge of the dial at 6 o'clock, bold blue steel spade & whip style hands.
Re-cased into a very attractive yellow gold filled (YGF) screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with engine turning behind the large, bold floral and ribbon engraving designs on the back cover around a fancy blank monogram shield, vermicelli engraved frame and front bezel, coin edge engraving around the thick glass crystal and a heavy bow, case is showing moderate normal wear overall with most of the engraving still sharp however many small spots of brass starting to show on the back cover, pendant and bow, measures approx. 55mm in diameter x 73mm in length x 17mm thick (crystal included). A high quality railroad grade watch from the early 1900s that was customized for the Canadian Pacific Railway in very good overall condition, a perfect watch to carry and show off!
