Waltham (American Waltham) 18S 15J adj. 3p model 1883 grade No. 25 pocket watch #4678527, lovely nickel full plate movement with screw-down jewel settings and a distinctive geometric sunburst damascene pattern, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic style numbers, red 5 minute markers and a black marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, blue steel spade style hands, re-cased into a heavy yellow gold filled (YGF) screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with large floral and geometric patterns engraved on the back around a fancy blank monogram shield, heavy bow and a glass crystal, case is showing moderate wear with notable smoothing to the engraving and brass starting to show on the bow, pendant, frame and bezels; measures approx. 54mm in diameter x 73mm in length x 18mm thick (crystal included). A high grade watch from the 1890s that is running strong and is still handsome despite some cosmetic indications of its age, in very good overall condition, perfect to carry everyday!
