Waltham 18S 17J lever set (LS) adj. Santa Fe Route (Crescent St.) pocket watch #6514610, attractive nickel full plate movement with screw-down gold jewel settings (GJS), a gold star regulator and an elaborate concentric circle damascene pattern has been marked with a matte finish badge marked "Santa Fe Route", the base model of this movement is the Crescent St. which was then marked for the railroad private label, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel Railroader-style dial with distinctive faceted Arabic-style numbers, a unique minute marker ring, red 6 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has a short hairline across the top of the seconds bit and a small flake at the edge of the dial near 8 o'clock, bold blue steel spade & whip style hands, re-cased into a heavy smooth polish yellow gold filled (YGF) screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with a glass crystal and a French-style bow, case is showing normal light wear overall with some very thin lines of brass starting to show on the bezels, pendant and bow along with a small cluster of pinpoint sized dents on the frame, measures approx. 55mm in diameter x 76mm in length x 18mm thick (crystal included). An impressive, high quality vintage Waltham from the 1890s that was customized for the Santa Fe Route railroad in excellent overall condition!
