Hampden 16S 17J adj. The Dueber Watch Co. pocket watch #2771079, handsome nickel bridge movement with screw-down jewel settings and an elaborate damascene pattern with concentric circles, wavy lines and fancy discs, mint double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic style numbers, red 5 minute Arabic markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register, blue steel spade & whip style hands, re-cased into a lovely yellow gold filled (YGF) screw back & bezel (SB&B) fully engraved case with fancy vertical line engraving around the large blank center monogram shield surrounded by floral designs, fancy floral engraved bezels and a heavy bow, case is showing normal even wear overall with some smoothing to the engraving in places, a bit of brass on the pendant & frame and some small nicks & depressions on the frame, bow & back cover, measures approx. 49mm in diameter x 64mm in length x 15mm thick (crystal included). A very attractive, high grade vintage Hampden from the early 1900s that was considered to be railroad grade at the time of production in excellent overall condition!
