Elgin 16S 17J adj. grade 155 pocket watch #6462907, beautiful nickel split plate movement with a fancy plate layout, screw-down gold jewel settings (GJS), a gold train & center wheel and an elaborate concentric circle damascene pattern, mint double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register, blue steel moon style hands, compact yellow gold filled (YGF) 3/4 engraved hunting case (HC) with both sides engraved with a distinctive lower-case design of art nouveau style swirls, filled with vermicelli engraving, interwound with large floral designs and surrounding the fancy blank monogram on one side and more fancy swirls on the reverse, coin edge bezels & frame and a heavy bow, case is showing light normal wear with very little smoothing to the various engravings and a small bit of brass starting to show on the bow, measures approx. 52mm in diameter x 70mm in length x 12mm thick. A very elegant and distinctive vintage Elgin from the 1890s in excellent+ overall condition!
