Illinois 16S 21J lever set (LS) adj. 3p Santa Fe Special grade 806 pocket watch #3500396, handsome nickel split plate movement with screw-down jewel settings, a gold train & center wheel and a lovely damascene pattern of a checkerboard design across the center with radiant sunburst lines around the edge, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register is marked "Santa Fe Special" in fancy script, dial has a faint hairline and a small arc of discoloration near the edge, blue steel moon style hands, elegant smooth polish yellow gold filled (YGF) Santa Fe Special model screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with an elaborate monogram filled with dark blue enamel on the upper section, possibly even a recreation of a previous owner's signature or "KPP", a classic pendant and a heavy bow, case is showing normal wear with some thin lines of brass on the bezels, frame, pendant and interior of the bow, measures approx. 50mm in diameter x 67mm in length x 15mm thick (crystal included). An attractive, high grade triple signed Illinois from the early 1900s that was approved for limited railroad use at the time of production, in excellent overall condition!
