South Bend 16S 21J lever set (LS) adj. 5p grade 227 pocket watch #1188844, handsome nickel 3-finger bridge movement with screw-down raised jewel settings and a fancy lattice damascene design, single-sunk (SS) off-white metal dial with bold fancy black Arabic numbers, black Arabic 5 minute markers, a black engraved imitation double sunk line and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register, dial has a few small specks of discoloration and a bit of patina around the edge, blue steel spade & whip style hands.
Re-cased into an attractive Sterling silver smooth polish screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with a multi-colored gold inlay of a large rose gold stag with antlers over a yellow & green gold floral design with an engraved lake & mountains in the background, stepped bezels with beaded engraving, matching beaded engraving on the frame, a heavy sculpted pendant and a heavy bow, case is showing light normal wear with a little bit of smoothing on the bezels in places and a few spots of wear on the frame & bow, measures approx. 50mm in diameter x 70mm in length x 14mm thick (crystal included). A very high quality railroad grade South Bend from the 1920s that is now in an eye-catching case to show off, in excellent+ overall condition!
