Waltham 16S 23J lever set (LS) adj. 6p Vanguard Up & Down indicator pocket watch #22065105, beautiful nickel bridge layout movement with screw-down raised gold jewel settings (GJS), a gold center wheel, a diamond endstone on the balance bridge and an elaborate checkerboard damascene pattern with a wavy line circular border, the time set lever on this model is at 11 o'clock, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers, a subsidiary power indicator register at 12 o'clock and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register at 6 o'clock, the dial has a small scratch near the center post and a few flakes on the edge of the dial at 2 o'clock but no hairlines, blue steel spade style hands.
Attractive white gold filled (WGF) smooth polish screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with elaborately engraved floral & reeded designs on the bezels, a short heavy pendant supporting a recessed crown and a large fancy bow with floral engraving, case is showing normal even wear with a few small spots of brass starting on the bezels, frame & bow, this case is likely a replacement to the original however it does not display any additional screw marks, measures approx. 50mm in diameter x 66mm in length x 15mm thick (crystal included). A very high quality vintage railroad grade Waltham with the desirable Up & Down wind indicator function from the early 1900s in excellent+ overall condition!
