Waltham 16S 23J lever set (LS) adj. 5p Vanguard pocket watch #18085013, beautiful nickel bridge layout movement with screw-down raised gold jewel settings (GJS), a gold center wheel, a diamond endstone on the balance bridge and an elaborate checkerboard damascene pattern with a wavy line circular border, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has a small expert repair at the edge near the lever with a short faint hairline leading off it, blue steel spade & baton style hands.
Impressive yellow gold filled (YGF) screw back & bezel (SB&B) Waltham Model 4D case by Keystone with a brushed Butler finish across the back surface, coin edge engraved bezels, a stepped frame, short heavy shoulders and pendant that support a recessed crown and a large heavy square bow, case is showing light normal wear with very little scuffing or scratching to the Butler finish and a small bit of wear & a tiny dent on the bow, the color on the case is still within the yellow gold range however it is a cool yellow and may present as green gold under some lighting conditions, measures approx. 52mm in diameter x 65mm in length x 15mm thick (crystal included). An elegantly finished, high quality railroad grade Waltham from the early 1900s in excellent overall condition!
