Waltham 18S 21J lever set (LS) adj. 5p Vanguard Up & Down indicator pocket watch #17077192, beautiful nickel bridge layout movement with screw-down raised gold jewel settings (GJS), a diamond endstone on the balance bridge and an elaborate checkerboard damascene pattern with a wavy line circular border, the time set lever on this model is at 11 o'clock, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers, a black-marked half register on the center dial level for the power indicator register and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register, dial has a small factory defect shadow line near the center post and a ring of discoloration around the edge of the dial in a circular scratch, likely from a case turning against it repeatedly, however no hairlines, blue steel spade style hands.
Re-cased into a heavy smooth polish Fahy's No. 1 coin silver screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with a fancy inscription across the back, possibly "V. D. Miley", coin edge engraved details on the bezels, an extra large heavy bow and a glass crystal, case is showing normal wear with notable smoothing to the various engravings and a few small dents & short scratches on the frame and front bezel, measures approx. 58mm in diameter x 87mm in length x 21mm thick (crystal included). A very high quality railroad grade Waltham finished with a desirable U&D wind indicator function from the early 1900s in excellent overall condition!
