Elgin (Swiss) 17J grade 897 ladies' wrist watch, case #3974 S744340, vintage mechanical manual-wind nickel bridge movement with bold red ruby jewels, champagne-toned metal dial with raised gold Arabic numbers and markers finished with black enamel and a brushed finish has a few small specks of discoloration, slender gold steel fancy hands, lovely white gold filled (WGF) & stainless steel (SS) long rectangular case with a narrow bezel supporting the flat-top glass marquise-shaped crystal, stepped accents at each point finish in the center extended lugs with star-shaped accents, Elgin marked crown, case is showing normal light wear overall with a few small spots of brass starting on the lug ends, measures approx. 11mm wide x 32mm lug to lug x 7mm thick (crystal included), white base metal (WBM) mesh rope-style band with WGF rope guides, buckle clasp and safety chain, watch length is approx. 6 1/4". A beautiful, high quality vintage Elgin from the 1960s in excellent+ overall condition!
