Bulova 17J grade 8AC wrist watch, case #3242505, vintage mechanical manual-wind nickel split plate movement with bold red ruby jewels and a brushed finish, single sunk (SS) champagne-toned metal dial with fancy raised gold Arabic numbers, black minute hash marks and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some light patina and a few small spots of darker discoloration, fancy gold steel whip style hands, impressive 2-tone yellow gold filled (YGF) & white gold filled (WGF) rectangular flip-open case with a smooth polish YGF frame topped with a narrow WGF bezel with deep floral engraving and supporting a high domed 3-plane faceted glass crystal, center extensions support the teardrop shaped extended lugs along with a small hinged latch at 6 o'clock that allows the case to flip up revealing the back and an area to place a small photo, case is showing light even wear overall with a few small nicks on the crystal edges and a few small spots of brass starting to show on the back of the lugs and near the latch, measures approx. 22mm wide x 40mm lug to lug x 9mm thick (crystal included), new ultra-thin stiff black canvas strap band with a leather backing. A very unusual and collectable high grade Bulova from the 1940s in excellent overall condition!
