J.W.D. solid silver cut-out shield pocket watch chain fob with silver and gold-flashed monogram shields, elaborate silver shield with angular and floral designs that are accented by cut-out segments and delicate engraving support two raised blank monogram shields; on one side, which is also hallmarked for silver and the maker's stamp, has a silver shield in the center; the reverse has a larger shield in the center with an engraved border and that has been gold flashed, sturdy top connector ring, fob is showing normal even wear overall with some smoothing to the engraving and also a small bit of wear on the gold flashing at the very bottom tip, measures approx. 28mm wide x 38mm tall x 3mm thick, weighs approx. 5.5dwt. A distinctive silver watch chain fob from the early-to-mid 1900s, an unusual find with the gold flashing on the monogram shield, in excellent overall condition!
