T.F. Cooper (London) 43mm 13J key wind pocket watch #1151, serial is found on both the inner and outer back covers along with under the dial on the top plate, impressive gilt bar-style movement with a brushed finish, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register is marked "T.F. Cooper London", dial has expert repairs and hairlines at 2:30 and 8 o'clock, blue and gold steel diamond and spade hands, lovely 18K (marked) thin-model hinge back & bezel (HB&B) fully engraved case with engine turning around the blank monogram button, coin edge frame, offset gold recessed hinges, yellow base metal (YBM) non-magnetic dust cover and a glass crystal, case is showing normal even wear overall with some smoothing to the engraving and a few moderate scratches on the back bezel, measures approx. 47mm in diameter x 61mm in length x 12mm thick (crystal included). This watch has been recently cleaned and serviced and is running and timing well in most positions, however it does lose some time when resting face-down; we have corrected this to the extent of our abilities however it is of note to the overall condition of the watch. A handsome gold watch from the 1870s in very good overall condition!
