Messaggero (Italy) 55mm 16J pin set (PS) pocket watch, case #407C, impressive gilt bridge style movement with a brushed finish, a right angle pin lever escapement, anti-overwind main spring, steel winding wheels and a fancy raised barrel bridge with markings in Italian, white fancy enamel dial with large black bold Arabic numbers, gold filigree minute markers and a black-marked seconds register (not subsidiary) is marked "Messaggero Echappement Roskopf", dial has a few faint hairlines and a small repair near 7 o'clock, fancy rose gold steel Louis XIV style hands, heavy smooth polish white base metal (WBM) hinge back (HB) case with the time setting pin on the frame at 11 o'clock, long tapering pendant, oversized heavy bow and a glass crystal, case is showing moderate wear with discoloration present across the back, bezel, frame, pendant & bow along with some short scratches near the case lip, measures approx. 68mm in diameter x 99mm in length x 18mm thick (crystal included). A very eye-catching vintage watch from the early 1900s in very good overall condition!
