Albert Buser & Co. 40mm 6J pin set (PS) pocket watch, (case) #523331, elegant gilt bar-style movement with a brushed finish and steel winding wheels, movement hallmarked with an "AB" in an oval with an anchor, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, fancy gold steel filigree Louis XIV-style hands, handsome .800 hallmarked silver hinge back & bezel (HB&B) case with a base metal non-magnetic dust cover, fine engine turning around a blank round monogram button, smooth polish rounded bezels and a glass crystal, interior back cover has a monogram in a fancy script that is not in English, case is showing normal even wear overall with some light smoothing and small dings to the engine turning near the bezels and a bit of brass on the crown, additionally it does appear this case did have gold bezels at one point which was common to this era of watch however there are only a few small spots of gold still showing near the hinges, measures approx. 43mm in diameter x 60mm in length x 13mm thick (crystal included). An attractive watch from the late 1800s in excellent overall condition!
