Waltham 18S 11J key wind P.S. Bartlett pocket watch #1839815, handsome full plate gilt movement with screw-down jewel settings and an elaborate engraved balance bridge, movement is missing the steel foot plate at the base of the key wind post which is a cosmetic flaw but does not affect the proper functioning of the watch, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has a few small hairlines, blue steel spade style hands, impressive Am. Watch Co. (Waltham) 2 1/2oz. hinge back & bezel (HB&B) Sterling silver case with engine turning on the back cover around the elaborate fancy blank monogram shield, coin edge frame, offset hinges, extra heavy large bow and a thick glass crystal, case is showing normal even wear overall with a bit of smoothing on the engine turning near the bezel and some short light scratches on the crystal, we can replace the crystal with a new plastic one at no charge on request, measures approx. 55mm in diameter x 81mm in length x 19mm thick (crystal included). An impressive, high quality vintage triple signed silver-cased watch from the 1880s in excellent overall condition!
