Hamilton 16S 17J adj. grade 974 pocket watch #1122197, handsome nickel split plate movement with screw-down jewel settings and an elaborate concentric circle damascene pattern, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with bold fancy Arabic-style numbers, red 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register, dial has a small flake near the center post and a shallow scratch across the 11 however no hairlines, blue steel spade style hands, heavy yellow gold filled (YGF) Keystone smooth polish screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with a thick glass crystal and heavy bow, case is showing normal even wear with a small patch of brass and nicks on the upper front bezel and frame, a small line of discoloration around the crystal aperture (possibly from old crystal cement that was removed) and an unusual patch of scuffing on the center of the back cover that you do not note when looking directly at the case but that will catch your eye when the case is held at an angle to the light, additionally the bow is a replacement to the case and is a slightly different shade of gold, measures approx. 51mm in diameter x 69mm in length x 13mm thick (crystal included). A high quality, attractive vintage Hamilton from the early 1900s in excellent overall condition!
