Description:
Waltham 18S 15J lever set (LS) adj. HCM grade No. 15 pocket watch #3856201, beautiful nickel full plate movement with screw-down jewel settings and a fancy concentric circle damascene pattern that has been finished with some rings of matte finish to give the movement a very eye-catching pattern, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, blue steel spade style hands.
Re-cased into an attractive yellow gold filled (YGF) engraved screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with crisp engine turning on the upper half & and unusual checkerboard engine turning on the lower half, over these patterns are hand engraved art nouveau designs of large flowers, swirls and fleur de lis with a fancy blank monogram shield in the center, angled coin edge bezels, smooth polish frame, long sculpted pendant and a large heavy bow, case is showing light normal wear with very little smoothing to the engravings, a small bit of brass just starting to show on the pendant & bow and a small bit of discoloration where the pendant & frame meet, measures approx. 54mm in diameter x 76mm in length x 18mm thick (crystal included). A high quality, attractive vintage Waltham from the 1880s in excellent overall condition!
