Elgin 18S 17J lever set (LS) adj. 3p G.M. Wheeler grade 369 pocket watch #14579627, handsome nickel split plate movement with screw-down jewel settings and a bar-style damascene pattern does have a light scratch across one of the plates, this does not affect the running condition but is a notable cosmetic flaw, double sunk (DS) porcelain enamel dial with bold fancy Arabic numbers, red Arabic 5 minute markers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines and a small expert repair near the seconds register, bold blue steel spade & whip style hands, re-cased into a heavy smooth polish white base metal (WBM) screw back & bezel (SB&B) case with a coin edge frame around the thick glass crystal, a heavy sculpted pendant with fancy bow terminals and a large heavy bow, case is showing normal even wear with some small nicks & spots of discoloration across the back, frame, pendant & bow, measures approx. 54mm in diameter x 75mm in length x 18mm thick (crystal included). An attractive, classic high quality Elgin from the early 1900s in excellent overall condition!
