Raymond grade 478 pocket watch #27203958, handsome nickel split plate movement with screw-down gold jewel settings (GJS), a gold center wheel and a bar-style damascene pattern, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with bold boxcar style Arabic numbers and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, bold blue steel spade & whip style hands, handsome yellow gold filled (YGF) screw back & bezel (SB&B) smooth polish Elgin Model 39 case with a checkerboard design engraving on the bezels, a short heavy pendant that is marked "Elgin R.R.", a recessed crown and a large bow, monogram in the center of the back in a diamond-shaped pattern, possibly "BGD" along with an inscription on the interior of the back cover "From Mother Christmas 1924", case is showing normal wear with some notable brass showing on the bezels, frame, pendant & bow, measures approx. 50mm in diameter x 64mm in length x 15mm thick (crystal included). An attractive railroad grade triple signed Elgin from the 1920s in very good overall condition, perfect to carry everyday!
