Description:
5.5" white base metal (WBM) 3-plate Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) ribbon-style pocket watch chain, heavy WBM plates are connected together at each corner to create the chain, the top fancy shaped plate is engraved on both sides with floral and geometric patterns and supports interlocking round links connected at the top to the medium WBM swivel, the middle square plate is engraved on one side with a flower and on the other with floral and geometric designs and has been custom-fit with 4 recessed pieces of brown stone or clay, the bottom shield-shaped plate has been engraved on one side with 2 flowers and on the other side with an elk's head with a clock face between the antlers and a banner across the bottom reading "B.P.O.E.", chain links, swivel and plates are showing normal even wear overall but the brown insets do have some bleed-over around the edges. A unique and attractive vintage chain for the B.P.O.E. collector in excellent condition!
