Description:
22.5" silver-plated white base metal (WBM) extra heavy fancy barrel link straight-style pocket watch chain with a spring loaded round primary finding, matte silver-plated barrel style links are each deeply engraved with horizontal lines and have slightly raised polished geometric designs, each barrel is connected to the next with a pair of floral engraved oval links at the ends and can spin freely within the frame of those connections, barrels are uniform in width for most of the chain but the final few on each end graduate down, large round engraved rings finish each end of the chain and connect to the respective findings, one end supports a matching oversized smooth polish swivel clasp with a large oval base with matching texture and engraving to the barrel links.
Opposite end of the chain has an unusual spring loaded WBM smooth polish round clasp, to open and close the clasp, you pinch the chevron-shaped center piece which allows the ring to twist to the side, chain links and findings are showing normal even wear with some small spots of brass showing in various places along the length of the chain and on one of the chain end rings, additionally the spring loaded finding is a replacement to the chain, we can exchange it with a traditional t-bar, belt clip or spring ring at no charge on request however there will remain a tone difference from this unusual finish and what we carry in stock, chain measures approx. 575mm in length, barrel links measure approx. 22mm wide x 8mm in diameter. This is a very distinctive vintage chain from the mid-1900s, perfect to pair with your oversized silver-cased pocket watch, in excellent overall condition!
