Waltham OS 7J grade No. 60 ladies' pocket watch #7040491, handsome gilt split plate movement with a brushed finish and engraved balance bridge, mint single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register, blue steel spade style hands, lovely multi-colored gold filled hunting case (HC) with engine turning covering each cover under the elaborate raised engraved and applied designs, one side has a V-shape of yellow and rose gold flowers with green gold foliage bracketing a blank fancy rose gold monogram shield, reverse side has a similar multi-colored V-shape design with a raised gold 8-pointed star set with a small faceted diamond, beaded engraving details on the frame and a glass crystal, case is showing normal even wear overall with a small bit of smoothing and spots of brass on the bezels and frame, a bit of discoloration around the raised star; the front cover does open past 90 degrees however it seats properly on the frame and latches tight, measures approx. 36mm in diameter x 51mm in length x 11mm thick. An impressive, eye-catching multi-colored case Waltham from the 1890s in excellent overall condition!
