Hampden 3-OS 7J lever set (LS) Molly Stark ladies' pocket watch #1427019, handsome gilt split plate movement with a fancy plate layout and a brushed finish, single sunk (SS) porcelain enamel dial with Roman numerals and a black-marked subsidiary seconds register has some faint hairlines, blue steel spade style hands.
Amazing fully engraved yellow gold filled (YGF) hunting case (HC) with an elaborate art nouveau-style scene engraved on both covers of large fronds, flowers & swirls surrounding a fancy square monogram shield with a doorway-like border, empty spaces in the design are filled with crisp engine turning, blank monogram shield on one side while the reverse has an engraving of a house set into a hillside with trees behind it, vermicelli engraving on the bezels & lower half of the frame, sculpted pendant, heavy bow, a glass crystal and an inscription on the dust cover "Maud Howard", case is showing light even wear overall with very little smoothing to the engravings, a small divot on the interior of the bow from hanging from a chain and a small bit of discoloration on the interior front cover, possibly from an attempt at gold testing, measures approx. 33mm in diameter x 47mm in length x 10mm thick. A beautiful vintage Hampden from the early 1900s in a case that must be seen to be truly appreciated, in excellent+ overall condition!
