Vintage gun-metal art nouveau chain-mail purse, sturdy round gunmetal smooth polish links have been interconnected to form the small pocket of this interesting purse, finished at the top with a heavy smooth polish frame with rounded corners and a ball-toggle clasp, bottom of the pocket has some additional round chain-mail decoration, sturdy connector loops on the frame attach the 2 gunmetal fancy teardrop link chains to the purse, the shorter 5" chain would allow the purse to be worn on the wrist, the longer 49" chain would allow the purse to be worn over the shoulder or cross-body, purse has some small spots of discoloration on the frame but is otherwise in excellent condition, measures approx. 49mm wide x 97mm long x 8mm thick. The pocket of the purse is very small, a tube of chap-stick does not quite fit, however most of the small vintage pill & snuff boxes we have do. The open design would also be ideal for using this as a diffuser purse. A distinctive vintage accessory in excellent condition!
