Hamilton 19J grade 753 wrist watch #71666F, vintage mechanical manual-wind nickel split plate movement with a bar-style damascene pattern, attractive single sunk (SS) 2-tone champagne and off-white metal dial with raised fancy gold Arabic numbers and pyramid-shaped markers, background of the dial is champagne-toned with a rectangle of matte-finish off-white outlined with a thin black line under the time markers, subsidiary seconds register, dial does have some light patina in places and a few small specks neat 8 o'clock however no heavy scratches or damage, gold steel wedge-style hands, handsome yellow gold filled (YGF) Hamilton "Pelham" model rectangular smooth polish case with a fancy flat bezel that is shaped to give the impression of flared sides and fancy sculpted extended lugs.
Case is showing normal even wear with no heavy scratches, damage or brass, the domed plastic crystal is in good condition, also with no heavy scratches or damage, however there is either a factory defect or an excess of crystal cement along the top edge and it will cast an unusual shadow on occasion depending on how the light hits the watch, measures approx. 25mm wide x 39mm lug to lug x 9mm thick (crystal included), distinctive YGF & stainless steel (SS) Spidel expansion band has 5, non-expansion panels immediately on each side of the watch, each set with a flat piece of jet black glass, these segments are then joined in the back with a section of narrow rectangular segment expansion band, overall the band is in very good condition however there are small cracks and nicks on most of the glass panels along with brass showing in a number of places, we can exchange the band for a new brown or black leather band at no charge if desired. A distinctive, impressive vintage Hamilton from the 1950s in excellent condition!
