Description:
Savoy Watch Co. for Lee 7J wrist watch, vintage mechanical manual-wind nickel split plate movement is marked for seven (7) jewels, attractive matte black metal dial with raised fancy rhinestone crystal markers, white minute markers and a white marked seconds register is marked "Lee" & "17 Jewels" in fancy white script, dial does have a few short scratches and is mis-marked as a 17J, not accurately to match the 7J movement, we are not sure if this was an error during printing or if the dial is a replacement to the watch as Savoy was well known for producing watches for jewelers and smaller watch companies, slender gold steel baton style hands with pointed tips, handsome yellow gold filled (YGF) & stainless steel (SS) rectangular case with a distinctive wavy design top bezel that supports a matching, likely original, heavy acrylic crystal that also has a wavy design to the top dome and edges, slightly raised heavy rounded extended lugs are engraved on the side of each lug with a small floral design, case is showing normal even wear overall with a few small spots of brass starting to show on the edges of the frame, crown and back of the lugs, measures approx. 22mm wide x 35mm lug to lug x 9mm thick (crystal included), lightly padded red-brown leather band. A fun and attractive vintage watch from the mid-1900s in excellent overall condition!
