Sovereign for Towncraft 17J grade 12B1B8 automatic (self-winding) wrist watch, lovely champagne-toned metal dial with a sunburst brushed finish, raised gold Arabic-style numbers and markers and luminous 5 minute markers has a few small scratches and a few of the luminous makers are worn down or completely off, fancy skeletonized gold steel wedge-style hands with luminous inserts and a gold sweep second hand, handsome yellow base metal (YBM) & stainless steel (SS) round water-resistant smooth polish case with a narrow sloped bezel supporting a domed plastic crystal and classic extended lugs with a sloped finish, case is showing normal light wear overall with some spots of brass starting to show on the lugs, frame and crown, measures approx. 33mm in diameter x 41mm lug to lug x 11mm thick (crystal included), lightly textured, lightly padded brown leather strap band. A very simple and elegant high quality self-winding watch from the mid-1900s in excellent condition!
