Elgin 7J grade 447 wrist watch #31560311, vintage mechanical manual-wind nickel split plate movement with a fancy bar-style damascene pattern, silver-toned metal dial with a matte brushed finish, bold black Arabic numbers, a black-marked outer minute register and a black imitation double sunk (DS) line has some small spots of discoloration and patina, additionally there is a partial blue line concentric from the center post, likely the tip of the minute hand was lightly pressing on the dial at one point and left a faint trail, fancy blue steel stylized diamond-style hands, elegant 2-tone thin model double-hinged rectangular case with a smooth polish extended yellow gold filled (YGF) frame with fancy short curved extended lugs, an elaborate white gold filled (WGF) top bezel with elaborate floral & geometric engraved designs accented with fleur-de-lis at each corner supporting a slightly domed plastic crystal, smooth polish SS back and a recessed crown, case is showing normal light wear with very little smoothing to the engraving but with a small bit of brass on a few of the lug edges, measures approx. 27mm wide x 37mm lug to lug x 8mm thick (crystal included), new lightly padded, lightly textured black leather strap band. A very attractive, early Elgin wrist watch from the 1920s in excellent overall condition!
