12" silver & enamel multi-strand Albert-style pocket watch chain with a large spring ring with chain guard, unless otherwise noted, the various components of this chain are created from .825 silver, identified from a hallmark on the large center decorative oval and possibly mirrored on other smoothed out hallmarks on links and the spring ring, additionally the chain may have originally been vermeil (a solid silver base with gold plating) however there are now only faint hints of gold on the various components, two long 95mm segments of four strands of box-link chain are capped on each end with heavy oval finials, each finial has a smooth polish finish and is accented on each side with a dark blue enamel oval in the center supporting slightly raised silver floral designs which are then outlined with three quadrants of bright red enamel border.
Connecting these two long segments is a decorative focal link in the same pattern as the enameled finials but slightly larger, one end of the primary chain length is finished with a medium-sized silver screw-down swivel clasp while the other end has a short length of oval links which connect to the large, oversized spring ring with a chain guard and raised cuff accent with a swivel detail, directly connected to the spring ring swivel loop is also a matching short length of oval links which currently is paired with a matching silver tassel fob, the tassel fob is created from six short segments of the same box-link chain, each capped with smooth polish ball finials, and capped at the top with an elaborate stepped round finial with geometric engraving and a sturdy top connector loop.
Other than the possibly vermeil wear noted above the chain is showing only normal even wear overall with a few small nicks on the various metal components but no damage to any of the enamel, chain measures approx. 310mm in length, fob measures approx. 8mm in diameter x 35mm tall, the set weighs approx. 21.6dwt. The provenance on this vintage chain has it being purchased from a watch & jewelry shop in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul circa 2018. This is a high quality vintage chain, perfect to pair with your best dress watch, in excellent+ overall condition!

For historical information, photo examples, and suggested wearing styles for our pocket watch chains, please visit our
"How To Wear" Guide.
Our example photos show our items against a backdrop created from a men's medium-sized vest. Depending on the style you are looking to create with your chain, we offer that for someone with a slender build or short to average height, you can expect the shown item to hang off your person similar to the photo. If you have a larger build or are taller than average, please note the chain will hang differently off your person than shown.
As a rule of thumb, on an average-build male, we suggest straight or Albert style chains 10" or shorter for heights under 5'8", 10" to 14" for heights 5'8" to 6'2" and 14" or longer for heights over 6'2". For Double Albert chain styles, we suggest 20" or shorter for heights under 5'8", 18" to 30" for heights 5'8" to 6'2" and 24" or longer for heights over 6'2".
Please note: this pocket watch chain and fob combination is a matched set; however, we may offer the option of purchasing the chain or fob separately; if so, the drop-down menu above gives individual prices and allows you to select your desired choice or combination.
