A.H.B. & Co. 25" yellow gold filled (YGF) ladies slide chain with oval link chain and a lovely triquetra-shaped slide set with three small crystals, elegant long oval open YGF smooth polish links are fused into sets of two to form figure-8 links that then interconnect with each other to create the overall length of chain, finished with a small YGF A.H.B. & Co. marked swivel clasp, along the length of the chain is a lovely stylized triquetra-shaped smooth polish YGF slide with three small faceted clear crystals set in the top with delicate engraved accents between each, these do have brilliant color and may be cubic zirconia or low grade diamond but we do not have the testing ability to determine the stone and are selling as crystal; chain links, swivel & slide are all showing light even wear with some small spots of brass starting on the slide and a few links where they rub against each other, slide measures approx. 8.5mm wide x 10mm tall x 5mm thick, wearable length of approx. 1,220mm, chain links measure approx. 2x3.5mm. A very elegant, high quality vintage ladies slide chain in excellent+ overall condition!

The length we list for this item in the Full Description section will be for the overall worn length. This means that if you lay the chain straight and flat, the length from the end of the swivel finding to where the chain curves back on itself is the length we are indicating. For example, if it is listed as 25" long, there is approx. 1" of the swivel finding and connection hardware (ie. where you would attach your watch, locket, etc), and 48" of chain length. To create the 25" overall length, the 48" of chain length is "folded in half" and then finished with the 1" finding length to close the chain into a necklace.
Our example photos show our items against a backdrop created from a women's medium-sized sweater with the chain displayed in what we call a "double-wrapped" style. Depending on the style in which you are looking to wear your chain, we offer that for someone with a slender build or short to average height, you can expect the shown item to hang off your person similar to the photo. If you are petite, have a larger build, or are taller than average, please note the chain will hang differently off your person than shown.
As a rule of thumb on an average-build woman, if you want to wear the chain long and have the swivel reach your waistline, we recommend chains 24" or shorter for heights under 5'4", 22" to 26" for heights 5'4" to 5'8" and 24" or longer for heights over 5'8".
If you are looking to wear the chain double-wrapped, we suggest a chain between 24" and 28" in overall length for the swivel to rest above your bustline, and a chain between 26" and 30" in overall length for the swivel to rest at your bustline. Adding one of our optional connectors to your chain design will add approx. 1" to the final overall length.
