30" yellow gold filled (YGF) ladies' slide chain with delicate curb link chain and a fancy shield-shaped slide set with pearls, very light weight curb-style oval YGF links with a flat profile comprise the total length of the chain, finished with a small-sized YGF swivel clasp, along the length of the chain is a handsome YGF smooth polish shield-shaped fancy slide with scalloped sides and four small white pearls set into the top with delicate fan-pattern engraving between them; chain links, swivel & slide are all showing normal even wear with some small spots of brass starting to show on all three along with a little bit of notable scuffing on the swivel, slide measures approx. 7mm wide x 9mm tall x 4mm thick, wearable length is approx. 1,470mm, chain links measure approx. 1x2mm. An elegant vintage ladies' slide chain in excellent+ overall condition!

The length we list for this item in the Full Description section will be for the overall worn length. This means that if you lay the chain straight and flat, the length from the end of the swivel finding to where the chain curves back on itself is the length we are indicating. For example, if it is listed as 25" long, there is approx. 1" of the swivel finding and connection hardware (ie. where you would attach your watch, locket, etc), and 48" of chain length. To create the 25" overall length, the 48" of chain length is "folded in half" and then finished with the 1" finding length to close the chain into a necklace.
Our example photos show our items against a backdrop created from a women's medium-sized sweater with the chain displayed in what we call a "double-wrapped" style. Depending on the style in which you are looking to wear your chain, we offer that for someone with a slender build or short to average height, you can expect the shown item to hang off your person similar to the photo. If you are petite, have a larger build, or are taller than average, please note the chain will hang differently off your person than shown.
As a rule of thumb on an average-build woman, if you want to wear the chain long and have the swivel reach your waistline, we recommend chains 24" or shorter for heights under 5'4", 22" to 26" for heights 5'4" to 5'8" and 24" or longer for heights over 5'8".
If you are looking to wear the chain double-wrapped, we suggest a chain between 24" and 28" in overall length for the swivel to rest above your bustline, and a chain between 26" and 30" in overall length for the swivel to rest at your bustline. Adding one of our optional connectors to your chain design will add approx. 1" to the final overall length.
