High quality base metal shield fobs with various Norfolk & Western railroad & railway designs.  These fobs are styled after traditional, vintage watch fobs, and are accented with well done colored enamel work (where featured).  All large size fobs are created from a single, continuous piece of base metal and finished as per the photos above.
We currently offer the following design variations.  Selecting from the dropdown choices above will provide a photo.  Click on any of the following options below for a detailed description of that variation.
  • N&W caboose (lgfob197)

    • A fancy silver-plated N&W (Norfolk & Western) caboose-shaped shield with details accented in bright red and black enamel with silver accents, "NW" in silver text on side of the design, measures approx. 44mm wide x 25mm tall (bail not included).

  • N&W locomotive (lgfob160)

    • A fancy silver-plated N&W (Norfolk & Western) locomotive-shaped shield with details accented in red, white and black enamel, measures approx. 45mm wide x 21mm tall (bail not included).

  • New Norfolk & Southern (lgfob203)

    • A fancy rectangular silver-plated shield, tapered rectangular shield with white enamel background supporting the black enamel lines and rearing horse design of the New Norfolk & Southern Railroad line, measures approx. 37mm wide x 20mm tall (bail not included).

  • Nickel Plate (lgfob171)

    • A square silver-plated shield with dark blue enamel background accented with silver boxes, "Nickel Plate Road" in white enamel fancy text with silver outline in center, measures approx. 37mm wide x 37mm tall (bail not included).

  • Norfolk & Western, blue (lgfob109)

    • A round silver-plated shield, dark blue enamel background with wide silver border and fancy "N&W RY" in silver letters for the Norfolk & Western Railway, measures approx. 37mm in diameter (bail not included).

  • Norfolk & Western, red (lgfob164)

    • A round silver-plated shield, dark red enamel background with wide silver border and fancy "N&W RY" in silver letters for the Norfolk & Western Railway, measures approx. 38mm in diameter (bail not included).

  • Southern engine (lgfob196)

    • A fancy gold engine shield, details of the engine are deeply sculpted to depict the engine with "Southern" engraved on back section, measures approx. 50mm wide x 24mm tall (bail not included).

  • Southern Railway (lgfob120)

    • A round silver-plated shield, yellow enamel covers the shield with dark green enamel concentric circles, "Southern Railway Serves The South" in green enamel around the circumference, fancy large "SR" in green in the center, measures approx. 38mm in diameter (bail not included).

  • Wabash (lgfob153)

    • A round silver-plated shield with white enamel background, red and blue enamel flag with silver accents has "Wabash" in silver text, "Follow the Flag" in silver text above the flag, measures approx. 38mm in diameter (bail not included).

We currently offer the following finishing options. Selecting from the dropdown choices above will provide a photo. Click on any of the following selections below for a detailed description of that finishing option.
  • Fob Only

    • For attachment to a pocket watch chain, necklace, lanyard, zipper-pull, or other accessory; or for use by itself.

  • Adapter (for large fobs only)

    • Fob is finished with a matching color silver or gold-toned solid base metal bail, or a black adapter on fobs with a copper-toned base. A small hole at the top of the bail will allow the fob to be secured to your own keychain, lanyard, zipper-pull, or other accessory with the included jump ring (jeweler's pliers suggested for assembly). A non-matching color adapter can be attached instead at no charge on request.

  • Leather Strap

    • Fob is directly attached to a 1/2" wide sturdy leather strap, measuring approx. 90mm (3 1/2") in length, offered in brown or black leather, with a silver-toned, gold-toned, or black-toned buckle. To use the fob with a pocket watch, you unbuckle and thread the top of the leather strap through the watch bow then re-buckle the strap. You can then put the watch into your pocket and the decorative plate will hang outside, enabling quick access to retrieving the watch to tell the time. These can also be used solely as a decorative piece as well by threading your belt through the leather strap and letting the fob display off.

  • Figure-8 Style Key Ring

    • Fob is attached to a sturdy base metal figure-8 key ring with solid base metal bail. The key chain segment measure approximately 48mm (2") in length. To add a key to the chain, pry open the top section of the key chain and slip your key between the 2 separated sections until it rests to the side. Then, release the key chain, which will snap back to the closed position.

  • Latch-Style Key Ring

    • Fob is attached to a sturdy base metal latch-style key ring with short base metal length of thick rope-style chain connecting the ring to the fob. The key chain segment measures 26mm wide x 65mm long. To use the key chain, open the clasp on the side of the latch-ring, attach your keys to the ring and then close and latch the clasp back together.

  • Split-Ring Key Ring

    • Fob is attached to a sturdy base metal split-ring key ring with a small base metal swivel connecting the ring to the fob. The key chain segment measures 33mm wide x 48mm long.

  • Carabiner-Style Key ring

    • Fob is attached to a sturdy smooth polish base metal carabiner-style key ring, featuring a large tapered-rectangular body with a rounded end and spring loaded latch that closes to secure keys within the ring, heavy loop at the bottom of the body supports a swivel connector. The key chain segment measures approx. 38mm long x 24mm wide.

We attempt to offer descriptions and photos that are as complete and clear as possible on each item, and we always encourage you to write us with questions if something is not addressed in the description!

We offer a 30-day return period beginning the day you receive your items for all PM Time Service merchandise. To receive a full refund, the item must be return in "as shipped" condition, with no new personalized engravings or end-user adaptions. Items damaged in transit will be eligible for the full refund pending the application of the insurance claim on the damaged watch or item. Holiday & Vacation Dates - Unless otherwise noted on our holiday page, you can expect an order placed to be processed and shipped out within 2-3 business days, often much sooner. If you need an item quickly, please do double check our holiday page to make sure we will be in the office!
