High quality base metal shield fobs with assorted railroad & railway designs.  These fobs are styled after traditional, vintage watch fobs, and are accented with well done colored enamel work (where featured).  All large size fobs are created from a single, continuous piece of base metal and finished as per the photos above.

We have chosen to supply many of the fobs within this listing to accent our full line of pocket watch chains, however most of the small fob styles would also be appropriate as a charm on a lanyard or zip-pull, as a necklace pendant, or as a decorative focal piece on your DIY jewelry project.  Due to how some of the small fob pieces are crafted, a few of the styles we carry have a small spot of solder on the back.  Please contact us directly to inquire if the style(s) you are interested in have a solder mark or are a continuous piece.

    • A round gold-plated shield, large round base with black enamel and gold rings around the circunference, center section filled with a bright red enamel behind black enamel A & A Rail Road (Arcade and Attica Railroad) emblem with a black enamel train engine and car in the center, measures approx. 38mm in diameter (bail not included).

  • California Western (lgfob103)

    • A round silver-plated shield, translucent red enamel outer track has California Western Railroad in silver text, white enamel background on inner track has a black and black enamel skunk with silver trim and "Ride the Skunk Trains" in silver text, measures approx. 39mm in diameter (bail not included).

  • Casey Jones Special =382= (lgfob089)

    • A stylized square silver-plated shield, light blue enamel background with black enamel border, Casey Jones Special =382= in silver text, detailed black enamel locomotive blowing gray enamel smoke and passing by brown enamel ground, measures approx. 37mm wide x 33mm tall (bail not included).

  • Colorado Southern (lgfob061)

    • A stylized "C" gold-plated shield, dark red enamel defines the Colorado Southern "CS", with a black enamel "&" connecting the two over gold, measures approx. 38mm wide x 33mm tall (bail not included).

  • Cotton Belt Route (lgfob066)

    • A stylized silver-plated shield, dark blue enamel background with white enamel border, Cotton Belt Route in white enamel, measures approx. 35mm wide x 35mm tall (bail not included).

  • Illinois Central, large (lgfob078)

    • A diamond shaped silver-plated shield, green and white enamel define the diamond shape, with Illinois Central in black enamel across the center, measures approx. 41mm wide x 25mm tall (bail not included).

  • Illinois Central, small (smfob113)

    • Fancy gold-plated fob, dark green enamel covers the background diamond with white enamel border, across center is a white enamel strip with Illinois Central in gold text, measures approx. 20mm wide x 12mm tall (bail not included).

  • Reading Lines (lgfob182)

    • A diamond-shaped silver-plated shield with deep blue enamel background, "Reading Lines" in white enamel with silver outline, thin white enamel border around edge of shield, measures approx. 41mm wide x 27mm tall (bail not included).

  • Spokane, Portland & Seattle (lgfob091)

    • An oval silver-plated shield, red enamel background with white enamel border, Spokane Portland and Seattle RY in white enamel text, measures approx. 38mm wide x 24mm tall (bail not included).

  • Wells Fargo (lgfob116)

    • A diamond-shaped silver-plated shield, translucent purple enamel surrounds a deep purple enamel circle, white enamel with silver outline says "Wells Fargo & Co Express", measures approx. 41mm wide x 41mm tall (bail not included).

We currently offer the following finishing options. Selecting from the dropdown choices above will provide a photo. Click on any of the following selections below for a detailed description of that finishing option.
  • Fob Only

    • For attachment to a pocket watch chain, necklace, lanyard, zipper-pull, or other accessory; or for use by itself.

  • Adapter (for large fobs only)

    • Fob is finished with a matching color silver or gold-toned solid base metal bail, or a black adapter on fobs with a copper-toned base. A small hole at the top of the bail will allow the fob to be secured to your own keychain, lanyard, zipper-pull, or other accessory with the included jump ring (jeweler's pliers suggested for assembly). A non-matching color adapter can be attached instead at no charge on request.

  • Leather Strap

    • Fob is directly attached to a 1/2" wide sturdy leather strap, measuring approx. 90mm (3 1/2") in length, offered in brown or black leather, with a silver-toned, gold-toned, or black-toned buckle. To use the fob with a pocket watch, you unbuckle and thread the top of the leather strap through the watch bow then re-buckle the strap. You can then put the watch into your pocket and the decorative plate will hang outside, enabling quick access to retrieving the watch to tell the time. These can also be used solely as a decorative piece as well by threading your belt through the leather strap and letting the fob display off.

  • Figure-8 Style Key Ring

    • Fob is attached to a sturdy base metal figure-8 key ring with solid base metal bail. The key chain segment measure approximately 48mm (2") in length. To add a key to the chain, pry open the top section of the key chain and slip your key between the 2 separated sections until it rests to the side. Then, release the key chain, which will snap back to the closed position.

  • Latch-Style Key Ring

    • Fob is attached to a sturdy base metal latch-style key ring with short base metal length of thick rope-style chain connecting the ring to the fob. The key chain segment measures 26mm wide x 65mm long. To use the key chain, open the clasp on the side of the latch-ring, attach your keys to the ring and then close and latch the clasp back together.

  • Split-Ring Key Ring

    • Fob is attached to a sturdy base metal split-ring key ring with a small base metal swivel connecting the ring to the fob. The key chain segment measures 33mm wide x 48mm long.

  • Carabiner-Style Key ring

    • Fob is attached to a sturdy smooth polish base metal carabiner-style key ring, featuring a large tapered-rectangular body with a rounded end and spring loaded latch that closes to secure keys within the ring, heavy loop at the bottom of the body supports a swivel connector. The key chain segment measures approx. 38mm long x 24mm wide.

For the smaller fob versions (those with the "smfob…" codes) we also offer the following additional finishing options, also selectable from the dropdown choices above (when a smaller fob is selected as the "Fob style").
  • Fob Only

    • For attachment to a pocket watch chain, necklace, lanyard, zipper-pull, or other accessory; or for use by itself. The small fob of your choice will come with a matching-toned jump ring to allow you to attach the fob to the object of your liking; alternate colors of these rings (in silver, gold, and black) are available upon request at no additional charge.

  • Leather Strap (w/ square connector)

    • Fob is attached, via a gold-toned square-shaped connector, to a 1/2" wide sturdy leather strap, measuring approx. 90mm (3 1/2") in length, offered in brown or black leather, with a gold-toned buckle. To use the fob with a pocket watch, you unbuckle and thread the top of the leather strap through the watch bow then re-buckle the strap. You can then put the watch into your pocket and the decorative plate will hang outside, enabling quick access to retrieving the watch to tell the time. These can also be used solely as a decorative piece as well by threading your belt through the leather strap and letting the fob display off.

We attempt to offer descriptions and photos that are as complete and clear as possible on each item, and we always encourage you to write us with questions if something is not addressed in the description!

In each description, we attempt to note the following things:

We offer a 30-day return period beginning the day you receive your items for all PM Time Service merchandise. To receive a full refund, the item must be return in "as shipped" condition, with no new personalized engravings or end-user adaptions. Items damaged in transit will be eligible for the full refund pending the application of the insurance claim on the damaged watch or item. Holiday & Vacation Dates - Unless otherwise noted on our holiday page, you can expect an order placed to be processed and shipped out within 2-3 business days, often much sooner. If you need an item quickly, please do double check our holiday page to make sure we will be in the office!
